in the kitchen at fairy cake pond

its winter here at fairy cake pond..cold and raining and at about 4.30 in the afternoons there's a thick mist coming down the hills of the horse paddocks across the dirt road, yes we do live down a dirt road...
And its school holidays as well so young Angus and i have been home playing house,we did go out to the veggie garden to see how its all going...while there i picked some fresh herbs and snow drops to make a posy for the dinning room table...

then we came inside , put some more wood on our open fire..and then i thought to my self...id love to make a banana cake...so here i am getting ready to cook away.....if any of you over the top darling 's are around come of and have a slice of banana cake and a cup of jasmine tea...I'm of to put my raspberry lip stick on....singing and skipping love Jo.

Purple And Green Cabbage's.

oohhh hello.....it's the Queen's birthday weekend here..and its raining and I'm loving that its raining..it means our water tanks are filling up-i woke up early ..to bird song..even with the rain the birds are singing........there little heads are peeping out of the lavender bush's..i have 2 white candles burning.. and some jasmine incense- its nice to bless the day....young Angus has some of his friends over for a sleep over..i can just hear them waking from there slumber now..it will be toast and hot Milo's soon...I'm thinking its going to be a great day.....singing and skipping ....jo.p.s i so love these purple and green cabbages..i have them floating in bowls of water on the table on our back deck...

Hello and welcome to my little world....it's been a very big 2 weeks here at fairy cake pond..our baby girl arrived home for a little holiday with her Joshy boy...as soon as they arrived miss Jessy opal asked could they have an engagement supper party..and we did have one ..it took me 4 days to get it all together..we had friends and family on both sides to ring..i think there was about 120 people.. i had to do a big drive around town for the fresh flowers.....but the night before the engagement supper ..we went to see the movie of sex in the city....i have to say - i loved it -the cloths..oh the cloths...and the raspberry vintage dress in her old flats wardrobe..my hand was so over my heart..we had it had our local cinema in Sorrento as a fund raiser for the local kinda garden..it was all red carpet and champagne and little sandwich's really Hollywood style..all the Lady's where dresses in there best and yummy perfume smells where every where ...Mr Australia took miss Jessy opal and my self to Melbourne town the day before..so i just happened to walk in to an Alannah Hill shop....And i saw one of her hats ..i ran after my Mr Australia saying Ive found the most divine hat ever..he just asked me how much and do i really need it...i said need it--oh yes i need it...it was such a big few days but so much fun..it was so nice to have our baby girl home...

my first tattoo...

this little girl just makes my heart sing..when i was 11 years old i was given the book of Milly Molly Mandy..It was a birthday present from my mumma and then baby sister..to the sadness of my heart ..they are not with me here on this earth but up in heaven..so this tattoo is for them as well...Ive wanted a tattoo for about 9 years now so last Friday ..i had this beautiful one done....singing and skipping Jo.

hello and welcome to our little world........I'm at home today playing house -make the beds and sweep the floors...yes that's the kinda day -i love- I'm washing sheets and towels..so I'm skipping from bed room to bath room gathering - dirty washing -Ive even filled long tall vase's with apple tree branch's, and it looks really nice...its not long before our Miss Jessy Opal comes home for a holiday,she lives to far away...up in the top of Queensland..we just cannot wait till shes home in our arms-i have some great things planed....i hope every one had the best mumma's day ever....mine was one that i truly loved -my boys took me to Melbourne town to the junk market and then to flinders lane...for lunch and champagne......the weather here is turning to winter, so I'm going to have to get my socks and stockings out ...as the mornings are getting cold..the rose bush's are still flowering as well,and i have 3 new sunflowers coming up-and that should not be....Ive re planted the veggie garden ...that gives me so much joy....its so nice to walk up to the veggie garden to gather a few things to cook for dinner....have a great day..I'm of to put my raspberry lipstick on...

Ive woke up from a sleeping dream..to hear the music of a tambourine....of hands clapping and of bells ringing...dolls dancing and animals singing..birds chirping...our cat meowing...fairy's dressing in the best.....oh what ever could be next.......

hello and welcome to my little world.....the air is so sweet and warm around here at fairy cake pond -last weekend - my Mr Australia and i went to the local market to get our fresh veggies for the week and to my surprise there was a plant stall with foxgloves ...so i brought 56 of them ...so there all planted and bedded down for winter...my weeks have been flying by so fast,I'm back doing my Italian cooking class and now on Tuesday afternoons I'm doing cake decorating,so i can learn to make our miss Jessy opal's wedding cake...and I'm trying to plan our next trip to Bali in September...I'm going to try and take a yoga class there this time...young Angus is liking high school ,we have so much homework.....but he loves the bus coming home....
every ones well and happy here so life is good...the man down the road has told me he has 100s and 1000's of waterlilies for me to come and get from his pond...now that could be a big job...singing and skipping of to put on my raspberry lip stick...
