ive been over the ocean.

i have been over the ocean..it all started with a phone call from my brother mark....asking for my help..being his sister..what could i say..i asked what have you done...he said back to me jo-anne jo-anne jo-anne i knew he had to tell me some thing..well..here's a story for you all..my brother is 48 years old....and he told me he was going to be a dad for the first time..squeal..i hang the phone up on him and just sat here for a little min...then i rang him back and said I'm so happy for you.. then he asked me would i be there for the birth..well i said yes of course...i said i talk back to you later..i need to tell Mr Australia ( husband )he said yes that's fine..ha ha..my brothers baby was going to be born in Thailand in the jungle...in a village...easy said...as the story go's ...our dad then get the idea in his head that he's going to come with me...my fairy god wasn't looking after me that day i can tell you- giggle...lots of planing and sorting out to do...dad and i went for a month to 3 country's ..it was the only way to get to my brother..we went to Vietnam first...loved it there...we stayed in the old quarter...omg..the place was so old ..old concrete walls every where with dripping paint..the color where magic...id leave dad in a bar to have a beer or 2..and id walk..it was so hot some time's 37 in heat...id stop at this one flower shop and buy her flowers..i couldn't speak Vietnamese , but we got on really well..id buy arm loads of her roses and water Lillie's , the first time i took them back to our little hotel..i asked the young man at the desk did he have any vase's..he just looked at me..and jumped on the phone..they where there with in the hour..so the hotel was full of fresh flowers..then we went down to Halong Bay, it was like a fairy's tale..like out of a movie ..we lived in an old ship for 3 days...it was unreal....i left my dad for only an hour ..i went of in the little day boat to see the water Gypsy's..when i got back there on the pole was my dads under pants..flying like a flag...i went omfg..whats he done..drinking a beer with the local lads..they said bet you cant dive of the boat..bet i can he said..and he did it..i want tell any more about that story as i put him to bed at 3 in the after noon...we go back to Vietnam for a few more days...this part was to my hearts joy..I've been friends with this divine girl..i meet her once here in Australia..and she has since moved to Vietnam...so this is where facebook come to the rescue ...Tori and i have been sending notes to each other..since we meet..so i said to her ..I'm going to be in Vietnam would you like to meet up-and meet up we did..Squeal...I'm telling you all how divine this girl is..she took us out to lunch..we talked and smile for i think 2 hours...thank you Tori Dixon-whittle..friends 4 ever...
we had to fly to Cambodia next to Siem Reap , to go to the temple of Angkor Wat...the heat got to me there and i became very sick..but i got up and went and had a massage..giggle..it was so so hot...the poor driver had to drive me to the local toilets...he walked me in there and waited at the door...very nice man..
its all fun when you travel  .....then we had to get a privet car to take us to the boarder of Cambodia and Thailand...that was long and in the end a long drive..then into an other car to take us to my brother mark who was waiting at a bus stop 3 hours away...when we did arrive he was waiting for us in the rain...
any way..as the story goes..yom..had her baby 5 days early ..she went to hospital on the back of the motor bike with the local lady boy..did we laugh at that...as it turned out it was better for me she had 16 hours of hell..so i was able to look after little digger ..bath him and sing to him as much as i wanted...
there's so many story's but im so glad to be home......xxx jo
